Sit With Us is a wellness collective dedicated to supporting individuals through their own healing journeys. Our Art Therapist/Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Mandy Leinbach specializes in working with individuals with acquired brain injury.
My RTC designation allows me to accept insurance for those who cover psychotherapy.

Brain Injury Community Re-entry (Niagara) Inc.

Brain Injury Community Re-entry (Niagara) Inc. (BICR) is a not-for-profit organization that provides support services and rehabilitation to individuals living with the effects of an acquired brain injury.  Our administrative office is located in Thorold and services are provided throughout the entire Niagara Region.  We provide life skills instruction to individuals who have sustained varying degrees of injury in the desire to increase their level of functional independence and become active again in work, education, home and leisure activities.  SERVICES WE PROVIDE: Residential programs (24 hour support).  Apartment living with on-site staff support. Community outreach services. Pre-employment services. Return to work programs/job coaching. Community based adult day programs.  Psychological services.  Social work.  Therapeutic recreation services.

Brain Injury Services of Northern Ontario (BISNO)

We have 30 Assisted Living spaces across 3 sites in Thunder Bay with 24hr/day staffing.  We provide Community Rehabilitation and Outreach services to approximately 300 people/year across North Western Ontario.   We provide individual and family counselling and people have some access to neuropsychology services.  We also support individuals with an ABI and co-occurring mental health issue, ten who have access to an RGI unit.  We partner with many community agencies as well as Home and Community Support Services North West to access professional services such as nursing, OT, PT, SLP and PSW’s.

CGB Centre for Traumatic Life Losses

We develop and deliver therapeutic programs and other related counseling, information, group support programs, retreats and health support resources to individuals and/or loved ones of individuals who have experienced traumatic life loss, mental health issues, substance abuse and addiction issues, and/or acquired brain injury. We serve individuals, families, and caregivers.

Kootenay Brain Injury Association

Offering service that enable individuals and families living with the effects of acquired brain injury to enjoy & participate in life in their home & community. All services are cost-free and include: Individual and group support, skills-based workshops, counselling services, family support, advocacy, referral & connection services, prevention and education, volunteer programs.

Comox Valley Head Injury Society

CVHIS provides programs and support services to acquired brain injury survivors, their families and caregivers.  We promote the health and well-being of our participants through advocacy, education, skill development, community re-integration, and we work to reduce incidences of brain injury in our community through prevention-based education.  Most programming is free and includes Case Management, Counselling, Food and Healthy Eating supports, Peer Support, Life After Brain Injury workshops, Wellness Group Activities, music and art therapy and a Drop in program.

BrainTrust Canada

BrainTrust Canada is a non-profit dedicated to meeting the unique needs of people affected by acquired brain injury providing evidence-based approaches to rehabilitation and recovery that lead to meaningful outcomes. We provide brain injury prevention and education, specialized neuro-rehabilitation program, and client advocacy.
