Beyond the Brain Injury provides specialized counselling therapy for adults living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). As a fellow TBI survivor, I possess a unique understanding of the significant life changes after a TBI. Guided by the values of growth, resilience, hope, and connection, I will help you learn how to cope with life stressors, understand your emotions, and achieve your goals. Our time together will be safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, and personalized to you.

Rehab Without Walls

Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, our residential program provides 24/7, goal-driven neurorehabilitation for individuals recovering from acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions. We offer a full continuum of care—including intensive transitional rehabilitation, supported living, and short-term respite stays—within a safe, home-like environment. Our interdisciplinary team delivers personalized therapy and caregiver support, helping each person rebuild independence and quality of life in both home and community settings. We accept patients from all of Canada. Our program is funded by WSIB, auto insurance (HCAI), Veterans Affairs, and private funds.

Powell River Brain Injury Society

Powell River Brain Injury Society, founded on November 24, 2003, is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by acquired brain injuries in the Powell River Community. Our Mission is to promote prevention, recovery, education, community awareness and life beyond acquired brain injury. Our Mandate is to assist persons dealing with acquired brain injuries and the people who care for them, offering support, education, and advocacy.

We provide peer support groups, educational workshops, and community awareness initiatives aimed at reducing stigma and increasing understanding of brain injuries. Our services primarily support individuals with brain injuries and their families, helping them navigate recovery and reintegration into the community.

As part of a provincial network, we advocate for improved resources and care for brain injury survivors. and continue to build partnerships with local health services and community organizations.

Blue Heron Support Services Association

Blue Heron Support Services Association provides support and coordination of services to survivors of acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families in the Northeast/Northwest regions of Alberta. Our aim is to gain insight into the needs of adults with ABI, maximize the use of existing services, and identify and advocate for the needed resources in all regions.

Critical Trauma Therapy

At Critical Trauma Therapy, we provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary mental health and rehabilitation services through our team of highly skilled healthcare professionals. Our integrated approach brings together psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, physiotherapists, social workers, case managers, dietitians, and nurse practitioners to deliver holistic care tailored to each client’s unique needs. We specialize in treating a wide range of conditions, including concussions, brain injuries, trauma, phobias, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Our expertise extends to providing essential support for caregivers and helping individuals navigate grief, loss, and bereavement. Through our collaborative care model, we ensure that clients receive coordinated treatment that addresses both their physical and emotional well-being. Our services are available in multiple formats to accommodate diverse needs and preferences. We offer individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and marital counseling. Understanding that healing happens at different paces and in different settings, we provide flexible care options through our three clinic locations, virtual appointments, and community-based services.

Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba

Each and every recovery journey is different. At the Stroke Recovery Association we provide programs, resources and support groups to help you find your way – and find what works for YOU. Our support groups are run by fellow stroke survivors which allows for a supportive, encouraging environment where survivors feel heard and understood. We offer programs throughout the week both in person and virtually, that offer physical, creative and social benefits. Our friendly and knowledgeable office staff are available to take your calls and emails with any questions you might have about our programs or any other stroke resources in the province.
