Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA)

The Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) is a provincial not-for-profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to enhance the lives of Ontarians living with the effects of acquired brain injury (ABI) through education, awareness and support. Through programs such as our toll-free helpline, peer support program, and support groups, we have assisted well over 100,000 people. OBIA is also a leader in Canada for providing training and education to those who support people living with concussions/brain injuries.

Comox Valley Head Injury Society

CVHIS provides programs and support services to acquired brain injury survivors, their families and caregivers.  We promote the health and well-being of our participants through advocacy, education, skill development, community re-integration, and we work to reduce incidences of brain injury in our community through prevention-based education.  Most programming is free and includes Case Management, Counselling, Food and Healthy Eating supports, Peer Support, Life After Brain Injury workshops, Wellness Group Activities, music and art therapy and a Drop in program.

BrainTrust Canada

BrainTrust Canada is a non-profit dedicated to meeting the unique needs of people affected by acquired brain injury providing evidence-based approaches to rehabilitation and recovery that lead to meaningful outcomes. We provide brain injury prevention and education, specialized neuro-rehabilitation program, and client advocacy.

Hamilton Brain Injury Association (HBIA)

The Hamilton Brain Injury Association is a community non-profit organization providing free support to people living with the effects of acquired brain injury. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for people in Hamilton, living with the effects of acquired brain injury through education, support, and advocacy. We are focused on providing a safe space for persons with brain injury and their families to connect, socialize and learn.

Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST)

BIST is a community non-profit organization supporting those living with the effects of an acquired brain injury (ABI). Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of those living with an ABI through awareness, support, advocacy and education.

North Okanagan/Shuswap Brain Injury Society (NOSBIS)

Case management for initial intake of individuals with ABI diagnosis to determine optimal level of needed supports; Life skills supports to assist ABI survivors in regaining and/or sustaining independence; Community supports for those who are unable to learn skills necessary for independent living due to restrictions caused by ABI; Peer Support and Family/Caregiver Support Groups to create a safe place to share and learn from peers; Recreational programs and Community Education Programs

Nanaimo Brain Injury Society

The Nanaimo Brain Injury Society (NBIS) is a registered non profit society and registered charitable organization. We are a progressive society providing support, education and connection for people living with brain injury since 1988 through education, advocacy, and community support. Energetic and dedicated, our society members, volunteers, Board of Directors and staff give the society a firm foundation on which we build positive relationships with clients, family members and our wider community. Together we strive to uphold NBIS’s Vision, Mission & Values.
